What the evaluation covers
- What is going on now: focus, follow-through, restlessness, time, work, and relationships
- Your history, including what you remember from childhood and school
- Sleep, mood, anxiety, substance use, and medical factors that can look like ADHD
- What you have already tried, and what worked or did not
I may ask for past records or a standardized questionnaire. The goal is an accurate answer, not a fast one.
After the evaluation
You get a clear explanation of what I am seeing, in plain language. Not every evaluation ends in an ADHD diagnosis. Sometimes the answer is anxiety, depression, sleep, or something else, and the plan follows from that.
If ADHD is the answer, we talk through options together: non-stimulant and stimulant medication, and the non-medication pieces that help.
Medication management
Ongoing visits to see how the medication is working, adjust the dose, and watch for side effects. If you already have an ADHD diagnosis and are stable on treatment, I can take over your care.
Stimulants are controlled medications. Prescribing follows Arizona and federal rules, which include checking Arizona's prescription monitoring program and keeping regular follow-up visits.
Insurance & fees
In-network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona, Carelon Behavioral Health, Cigna / Evernorth, Optum, Oscar Health, Oxford, and UnitedHealthcare. Self-pay: initial evaluation $250, follow-up visit $150. Superbills for out-of-network plans.
