Coming home to yourself.
Two practices, one provider. Telehealth psychiatry across Arizona. Mobile advanced wound care that comes to you in Maricopa County. Whichever you need, I show up, listen, and do the work.
Hi, I'm Sue.
I'm a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner, board-certified across the lifespan, and wound care certified (WSOC). I founded Vital Cares to do both kinds of care the way I always thought they should be done: small, unhurried, and actually attentive.
I have been in medicine for over thirty years. I started in inpatient settings, where I saw how often people carry mental and physical pain in the same body, and how rarely the two get treated together. That observation became the practice you are looking at now: telehealth psychiatry across Arizona, and mobile advanced wound care anywhere in Maricopa County.
The clients I love most are the ones who have seen other providers and not felt heard. There is always something to work with. Often it is a matter of reframing, finding a different angle, and being willing to slow down long enough to actually find it.
Psychiatric visits happen via secure video, so you see me from wherever you are. Wound care happens at your door, anywhere in Maricopa County. Either way: no waiting room, no parking, no rushing back to work.
How I work.
The first session is the slow one. We talk about what brought you here, what you have tried, what worked and what did not. Then, together, we build a plan.
Treatment usually means some combination of medication management and supportive therapy. Sometimes one, sometimes both. The point is not the protocol. The point is that the plan fits your life.
No judgment.
Whatever you bring in, we work with it. The visit is yours. You do not have to clean it up first.
Straight talk.
I tell you what I am seeing and what I recommend, in plain language. You should never leave a visit unsure what just happened.
Real partnership.
You are the expert on your life. I'm the expert on the clinical side. We decide together.

Mobile advanced wound care.
I'm wound care certified (WSOC). That's rare for a psychiatric nurse practitioner, and it is not an accident.
Mental health and physical healing happen in the same body. When one is neglected, the other struggles. I treat both, sometimes for the same patient, always with the same philosophy: show up, listen, do the work that actually moves the needle.
Advanced means we do allografts, biologics, and the therapies that come into play after conventional treatment plateaus. Mobile means I come to you. Anywhere in Maricopa County. For patients whose wounds have stalled, and for the ones who should never have been sent to a crowded clinic for something this specialized in the first place.
